Whole wheat penne “alla puttanesca”

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced (10 g)
  • 1 can sardines, in pieces (125 g)
  • 1 can tuna, drained (120 g)
  • 2 tablespoons capers in brine, drained (25 g)
  • 1 tablespoon black olives, pitted and sliced (10 g)
  • 2 tablespoons mushrooms, sliced (30 g)
  • 2 cups tomato pulp (400 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (5 g)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped basil (15 g)
  • 250 g whole wheat penne pasta, cooked “al dente”

Modo de preparo

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over high heat and sauté the garlic for 1 minute, or until golden.
  2. Add the sardines, tuna, capers, olives, and mushrooms, and mix well.
  3. Add the tomato pulp and salt, and cook over low heat, covered, for 5 minutes. Add the basil, stir, and remove from the heat.
  4. Pour over the pasta, mix, and serve immediately.
