Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (110 g)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (4 g)
  • 1 cup milk (200 ml)
  • 2 eggs (100 g)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted (60 g)
  • 1 packet grated parmesan cheese (100 g)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped scallions (10 g)
  • 2 cups watercress leaves (20 g)
  • 100 g Parma ham, thinly sliced

Modo de preparo

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs until smooth. Add to the flour mixture and whisk until uniform. Stir in the melted butter, cheese, and scallions.
  3. In a preheated, greased waffle maker, pour about 3 tablespoons of batter and close the lid. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until golden on both sides. Remove and set aside. Repeat, greasing the waffle maker as needed, until all the batter is used.
  4. Serve warm, accompanied by watercress and Parma ham.

Tip: The amount of batter per waffle may vary depending on your waffle maker. This recipe was tested in a machine that makes 2 waffles at a time, using 3 tablespoons of batter per waffle.
