Tagliatelle with Sugo Sauce

Pasta with sugo sauce: classic and delicious! If you’re unsure which pasta to choose, bet on tagliatelle.

This recipe is perfect to please every palate and fill your mouth with umami. After all, we’re using our special ingredient: AJI-NO-MOTO®!

Ingredients

  • 500 g ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (150 g)
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped (10 g)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (2.5 g)
  • ½ teaspoon monosodium glutamate AJI-NO-MOTO® (2 g)
  • ½ package tagliatelle pasta, cooked (250 g)

Modo de preparo

  1. In a blender, place half of the tomatoes and blend until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over high heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 3 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  3. Add the remaining tomatoes and cook over low heat, partially covered, for 10 minutes, or until they soften.
  4. Stir in the blended tomato, salt, and monosodium glutamate. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, pour over the pasta, and serve immediately.

Tip: If you prefer a thicker sauce, add 2 tablespoons tomato paste.
