Simple Corn Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 can sweet corn, steamed and drained (200 g)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (30 g)
  • 1 small onion, chopped (100 g)
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (5 g)
  • 1 can heavy cream without whey (200 g)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (5 g)

Modo de preparo

  1. Set aside 3 tablespoons of the drained corn.
  2. In a blender, add the remaining corn and the milk, and blend until smooth.
  3. In a medium saucepan, add the butter and melt over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for 1 minute or until the onion softens. Add the blended corn mixture, the salt, and cook, stirring constantly, until thick and creamy.
  4. Add the heavy cream, the reserved corn, and heat through.
  5. Remove from heat, finish with parsley, and serve immediately.
