Shrimp Skewers

With pink shrimp, nampla (fish sauce), and delicious ingredients, this dish will transform your day.

Ingredients

  • half a glass of coconut milk (100 ml)
  • 1 garlic clove (5 g)
  • 3 coriander roots (3 g)
  • half tablespoon red curry paste (6 g)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (8 g)
  • 2 tablespoons nampla (fish sauce) (30 ml)
  • half teaspoon salt (2.5 g)
  • 21 medium pink shrimp, cleaned (700 g)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (15 ml)

Modo de preparo

  1. In a blender, place the coconut milk, garlic, coriander, curry, sugar, nampla, and salt, and blend on medium speed for 1 minute, or until smooth.
  2. In a medium bowl, place the shrimp and pour the blender mixture over them. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  3. Assemble 7 skewers with 3 shrimp on each.
  4. On a grill or in a large skillet, add the oil and heat over medium heat. Grill the skewers for 5 minutes, turning halfway through, or until the shrimp change color.
  5. Remove from heat and serve.

Tip: both red curry paste and fish sauce (nampla) are widely used ingredients in Thai cuisine and can be found in Asian grocery stores.
