Baked Chicken Fricassee

Whether for Sunday lunch or a special dinner, chicken fricassee is always a great option to please everyone! This French dish is simple, quick to prepare and very tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (150 g)
  • 1 clove of garlic, chopped (3 g)
  • 2 cups (150 g) of leftover shredded roast chicken
  • 1 small carrot, grated (120 g)
  • 1 can of drained corn (200 g)
  • 1 sachet of SAZÓN® chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 carton of heavy cream (200 g)
  • 2 tablespoons (10 g) of chopped parsley
  • 1 cup (100 g) of grated mozzarella cheese

Modo de preparo

  1. In a large saucepan, heat the oil over high heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for 3 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Add the chicken, carrot, corn, chicken bouillon powder, and heavy cream, mix, and cook over medium heat for 1 minute, or until it comes to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat, add the parsley and stir. Transfer to a medium rectangular baking dish, sprinkle with mozzarella and bake in a preheated medium oven (180 degrees) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  4. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
